This just in:  I was able to talk Ghettowizkid into buying an xbox.  he said he would buy one by the end of the week.  I guess we will see.  That certainly will step up the competition! (and the crap talk and maybe old rivalries)

the local pawn shop here is getting out of dealing with consoles, he has 2 xbox systems with cables and controllers with about 60 games and wants $190

hey guys just so everyone's aware and i don't hear any bitching later on..

we are gonna take the top 8 players from the qualifier round to play in the final tournament room competing for top spot.

but don't worry those who didn't make it will still get to play in their own room with each other and go through the full tournament competing for the 9th position,

but depending on the turnout that night, the size of the 2nd room may vary, i'm hoping we will get enough people that the 2nd room will still be nearly full as well

I doubt I will be able to make it this week or next.  Going to Kentucky for a wedding and then to Keeneland for horse racing this weekend.  Then next weekend I will be in Chicago.

what do you mean how? you mean scoring wise?

The score formula is R1+R2+R3+Final Round(x2)+Regular Season Bonus. So for example if Swamper got first place in every single event he would have 8+8+8+16+15 = 55 points for the tourney

If ad3vtec got first place in every single event he would have 8+8+8+16+8=48 points for the tourney

this should add some strategy to the tourney since everyone will be trying to wreck swamper since he has the highest regular season bonus

No, the qualifying round will happen before the first 3 rounds.

So we are going to play one round of CTG in 2 separate rooms for the qualifier and the TOP 4 players from each room will move on to a single room to play Round 1 Stayaway

those who don't make it will form their own room and play all the same tournament rounds competing for the ninth place finish
